Ie, enghraifft arall o gamddefnydd o gyfieithydd ar-lein di-werth (ond rhad ac am ddim!) InterTran yw hyn – ond mae hyn yn wahanol i’r llu o enghreifftiau eraill dyn ni wedi gweld dros y blynyddoedd diwetha ’ma: nid siop smyt yw hwn ond cyngor tref.
Dychmygwch am eiliad bod y gwaith ’ma wedi’i wneud gan gynlluniwr gwe uniaith Gymraeg, yn lle yr un uniaith Saesneg sydd ar fai yma. Dyma’r paragraff cyntaf uchod wedi’i gyfieithu’n fras:

This is what happens when a town council uses an online translator instead of paying a professional. Had the website’s contents been composed in Welsh (as they are in some areas, one presumes) and then “translated” by machine like this, the paragraph above shows the kind of nonsense that would result. A bit hard to imagine this getting onto the web, isn’t it? The subtext, as so often, seems to be “Oh, fuck the Welsh, who cares? Nobody reads it anyway.”
