Stori ar icNorthWales am ddyn ifanc o Batagonia a gafodd ei holi am bedwar awr gan swyddogion mewnfudo Heathrow, ar ôl iddo awgrymu bod linc diwylliannol rhwng Cymru a’r Ariannin:
[Alejandro Jones] is the great great grandson of John Daniel Evans, one the pioneers who boarded the Mimosa in Liverpool 140 years ago this coming Wednesday, and one of the 153 hardy souls bound for Argentina where they hoped to found a New Wales.
He feels particularly strongly about the lack of knowledge and crass indifference he says immigration officials at Heathrow displayed about Wales, and in particular the nation’s long-standing links with Argentina.
His pleas were apparently dismissed with the same arrogance shown to those who expressed concerns about Welsh troops having to cross swords with Argentine soldiers of Welsh ancestry during the Falklands War in 1982.
