Xenophilia (cyn i chi ofyn, cyrhaeddais i’r URL yn syth o Google – dw i ddim yn treulio lot o amser chwilio am born hoyw) – stori serch am Gymro Cymraeg a Sais ifanc sy’n cwympo mewn cariad yn ystod y gwersi Cymraeg a hanes mae’r un yn rhoi i’r llall. Dim byd hardcore, ond mae’n bosib dyw hi ddim yn sâff i’r gweithle. Jôc da (tarddiad yr holl stori?) reit ar y diwedd.

(Ypdêt: Dw i wedi ffeindio’r stori ar y wefan a’i gyhoeddwyd yn wreiddiol, sy’n llai tebyg i achosi problemau yn y gweithle, falle – h.y. dydy’r URL yn cynnwys y geiriau “gay” a “highschool”.)

Iwan Bala:

I live in Grangetown, the river Taff passes close by on its last lurch to the sea, within sight is the new Rugby Millennium Stadium, ten minutes walk brings you to the site of the new Assembly building. Of my forty three years, half have been spent in Cardiff. In the shop on the corner, the young men converse in Urdu. The children who play in the street wear saris, the games they play are western ones. My wife was born in Cardiff, but her family is from Greece. Our children speak Welsh. I am, in John Cowper Powys’ words, an “obstinate Cymric” from the north, living as far south as you can possibly get in Wales, a minority amongst minorities, all of us constituent parts of today’s Wales.

Mae edefyn newydd Maes E ar Meibion Glyndwr, sy wedi wneud i fi sylw cynlleiad dw i’n gwybod amdanyn nhw, a’r holl adeg honno. Fel Cymro di-Gymraeg bondigrybwyll, thalais i ddim lot o sylw i’r ymgyrch ar y pryd.

Dyma dehongliad o’r ymgyrch (Saesneg) sy’n rhoi lot o wybodaeth cefndirol. Bydda i’n postio mwy wrth ddod ar eu draws.

Mae lot o hen rwtsh am MG, hefyd. Er enghraifft:

Abergele was the scene of a failed assasination attempt of Prince Charles in 1969 as he travelled back from Caernarfon after being crowned. Two members of the Welsh Nationalist group Meibion Glyndwr were killed when their home-made bomb detonated accidentally. Until recently there was an annual ‘Martyr’s March’ through the town where fellow Meibion Glyndwr members commemorated the deaths. However, This has now been banned on account of interest by the National Front and Sinn Fein members wishing to join the procession.

…sy’n dangos pa mor hawdd yw e i ledu misinformation ar y we..
